Ave5 Restaurant and Bar opened its doors in August 2007. European trained owner and Chef Colin Maclaggan and his family created an eclectic restaurant specializing in the highest quality fresh farm-to-table modern American Cuisine at moderate prices.

Ave5 offers a full bar, molecular mixology, a variety of local micro-breweries, 20+ wines by the glass, supported by an extensive list of old and new world wines.

Ave 5 supports locally grown products in combination with our own personal garden resulting in sophisticated cuisine with persistent creativity and energy.

Ave5 is centrally located in Bankers Hill with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Located one mile north of the historic Gaslamp Quarter, two miles east of San Diego Airport and walking distance to Balboa Park, museums, theaters, and local farmers markets.
